Saying that the best ship in the game is week ship means you have no clue... I am second in my shard, never drop under 9. I can’t beat the first one cause he has sick Mace team (and i chose the wrong Command Ship - now it is too late). But with Vader i just cruse and crush my opponents. I auto run the battles - just enjoy the power of lord vader and his ship! This is the only ship in the game that gives you guarantee! So no RNG for the target lock. If you have no ship around that profits from target lock - than you are probably outside top 200 (or you have a very very lucky shard). And it is actually impossible to take it out if you put him around the right ships... (hint - the fastest ship in the game has target lock and there are two auto taunters one of which taunts by applying target lock).
