I desperately think that TIE fighters need protection. Even if only a little, it would give them more of a fighting chance when in fleet arena. They don't dodge often so it's unique is useless when it can just get destroyed quick. I know in the movie they were a pile of trash but if they are trash in the game that's two less ships to synergise with

They have a high dodge rate to make up for the lack of natural protection.

Only the Imperial Tie Fighter is like that, my FOTF has protection (granted, not alot, but it does hit pretty hard)

Funny. My 3* Tie Fighter hits like a truck and evades often. It's a great addition to my lineup. Perhaps try gearing and levelling your TFP? Mine is 5*, G9 Level 82 (I want to try and factor him into a raid squad). I started gearing and levelling him before ships.

I was just thinking about that while reading this thread!
Doubt we will get ships from Rebels episodes that haven't aired yet before we get any of the Ghost crew, but who knows?

I don't think the Tie needs protection. My Tie is a key to success just open with special to either draw Ashoka's dispel or Poe's attack and giving capital ship TM. His 35% dodge rate is insane, can't remember last time I lost him in a battle

Can't dodge poe's special and Poe is always faster. That's why I want just a nominal amount of protection.

Really? Then AI is just too dumb to use it, opponents Poe only gets one shot anyway but still, never been ohko'd by a Poe

Interesting they would introduce a more advanced TF in Rogue One when in ROTJ the Tie Interceptor was the most advanced TF we had seen at that point. Disney has to be careful with continuity.
