I do this with Thrawn/EP/Vader/Tarkin/Shoretrooper. Shoretrooper is g9, the rest are G12. No relevant zetas (have EP lead, but he's not in the lead slot).
Shoretrooper basically is just there to eat the opening salvo - he almost always dies before I get a turn. Then I just do Vader/EP/Tarkin AOEs and kill off Ezra and Sabine ASAP; they're pretty squishy so they're easy to kill even while they still have Chopper, Zeb and Kanan's uniques.
After that their damage output is basically nonexistent, so I just slowly pick them apart, using shock from EP's basic to prevent the obnoxious healing from Kanan's unique and Thrawn's TM swap to heal up protection as needed.
