If you want to send a message to higher ups, I suggest a few options:
- Bad public reviews of the game. That gives a rating that big bosses see. That's because potential new buyers see the ratings and that puts sales at risk.
- Direct angst at Disney. Disney is sensitive to their brant equity. And the Disney franchise is way bigger than CG and EA. Disney threatening their license would be helpful for the players.
- Stop spending. Sales are measured and reported on, and big bosses care the most about sales (profit and cash flow, blah, blah too, but mostly sales). A drop in sales will create a lot of internal questions.
- Find a media outlet to publish a story. Lots of potential outlets and the media loves negative stories about Star Wars, video games, corporate greed, all of that stuff. Could be a gaming mag, could be someone else. You could even write your own op-ed. Think about the micro transaction blow up on Battlefront II that EA had to deal with. (they had to pull it back)
- BBB Better Business Bureau - This one is a little harder to prove that CG has wronged customers in some way. They seem to lie a lot but it is hard to say it is fraud. However, you can write a review and give an opinion in no time. That will create a headache for the people at CG that have to handle it.
I'm sure there are lots of others, these are just top of mind.
