GS is good attacker to start but there are tons of good charaters there

a good squad that is FTP and will beat most is phasma, rey, ST han, RG, QGJ and all characters can be worked on separately with no overlap. I mean I can place first everyday with this squad if I wanted.
you can also sub out st han for GS, or leia and do well.

Phasma is easier to gear up so quick path is her but defensively she is not as good as old ben.
