Tournament opponents

Are people from tournament real players or bots ? http://i.imgur.com/KtGpZH3.png How could a normal player put ewok scout as leader ?

They are real players and it is done by intention.

I set my level 44 ES as my squad lead. And were it not for some distractions right at the end, I would have finished in the top 100.

There's method in the madness.

Unlikely to do it again though, it appears that EA have changed the way refreshes work.
