Tournaments - A Positive Take

Now this is my opinion and not a rebuddle to the any others perspective all of which they're entitled to. However, I wanted to give people who post and/or lurk an opportunity to view and read an optimistic view of these tourneys in the case they share the same view, in whole or just parts of it.

1) Credits: this truly is a resource mgmt game so I view my credit intake on a weekly basis, which tends to be around 10-12mil with credit heist. 5-7mil. When they skip it. So I always welcome an opportunity to add to my weekly aggregate credit total. I keep a buffer of 10 mil., upgrade only one toon to level 85 immediately after a credit heist, then gear them along until next credit heist.

2) Omegas & Gear: Same as above; free opportunity without any crystal refreshes to gain more of both.

3) Opportunity to Battle and Learn: My arena shardmates are a great group and I love seeing how they mod certain toons. The tournament raise that up a notch and in this Vadar tournament, i ran into so many variations and combos of teams/mods that It gave me some great ideas for squad composition and modding my roster. Then I get to immediately try them out since, you know, you can battle all day long if you choose to. I also look forward to the opportunity to utilize my entire roster with different comps as there is really no other way to get practice in against other peoples squads. Tough to do in arena since you only get 5 attempts.

4) No Paywall: I'm not FTP, I try to drop a few bucks to support the game when I can since I play it a ton. But I won't spend $100-$200 on a single character. (No knock to those that do, I appreciate you supporting the long term viablilty of the game) There's now however a time-wall but I'm okay with that. Getting certain toons should be very challenging, and it's okay to reward, time/effort/money. This format vs old allows everyone a chance. I've only placed in the top 100 three times, no top 25 btw.

5) Improvements: incremental changes have been implemented to improve the tourneys and I'm confident they'll continue to fine tune them.

- 24 hr timeframe
- last tourney top 100 were rewarded 4 star character.

Now I do have one suggestion that I hope at some point gets implemented.

- Drop two characters per tournament: 1 awarded as it is currently, the other a Tiered Reward that gives you shards along the way enough to eventually 7 star them. That way we got the character resource obtainable for everyone who chooses to go for it.

(In an opposite faction: an empire if tourney shard reward is a rebel for example)

- And Someone mentioned standardizing them which is a great idea. Preferably Weekly.
