Doesn't matter who whales attack if they continue winning virtually every battle anyway. This way weaker players can increase their win percentages without expense and by playing well within the rules.
for arguments sake lets say it works. You and your buddies with a low def succesfully climbed the leaderbaord. The whole top500 is flooded with low def teams. While unlikely, it's possible.
How are you going to score more points than a whale?
You may or may not, but the whole point is, you'll use significantly fewer ally points than the so-called whales have for similar rewards.
Why? those so called whales can also attack those low def teams. Them having way more toons makes it cheaper actually for them than for the guys with smaller roster who think they are benefitting from low def teams.
To use the inverse of that old investing axiom, "Its timing the market, not time in the market."
please enlighten me, how does that apply exactly?
