Training Droids disk in Conquest - What's it even for??

I know this is relatively random, but I really need somebody to answer this. I don't think it's a bug, but whenever I've tried it, all enemies refuse to fall below 1%, leading me to a stalemate. There are ways around this that I have tested, but it's more trivial than useful to me. For instance, I used my Darth Nihilus (R8) on a random battle after equipping the disk just to see if he could make it through, and although it worked, it took around 7 mins on 1x speed just to defeat a squad of 5 enemies.

Disk Description:
F-34T Training Droids -  At the start of the battle, all enemies are inflicted with Tenacity Down until the end of the battle, which can't be dispelled or prevented, and are immune to Tenacity Up. Enemies can't have their health reduced below 1% while the enemy Leader is present, but can be instantly defeated.

See, what I don't get about this is that fact that, first,  the enemies you are fighting apparently do not have a leader. And I say this because I wasted all my Conquest energy just testing with it, defeating enemies at random to see if the others were defeat-able once their leader was gone, like the disk said. Well, I tested that starting with every possible target and nothing happened. And second, instantly defeating enemies takes FOREVER. Only some characters can do it (GLs, Nihilus, and a few other oddballs I forgot) so it isn't worth it to wait for ultimate charge or long cooldowns just to get the same rewards. It doesn't make sense to up the difficulty and time needed to finish and still get the same result. Is this disk just a joke by CG??

  • Read the disk description. It's literally called "FEAT". It's so your over powered character/disk combinations don't obliterate enemies so you can farm feats using less energy. That's why the only way to kill an enemy is with an instant defeat ability. It's actually extremely helpful and very player friendly.

Out of interest what was your squad for that? Did it in 2 on the same boss with Thrawn in a EP squad with a tank, Mara and Wat, but feel it could be improved as while EP controlled it nicely that also mean't not so many turns for Thrawn.

Although you didn't ask me, I didn't really want to be left out the conversation.  I did it with a Thrawn lead, Jynn, FO Officer, Mr Tamborine and a tank.  Thrawn's lead gives more opportunities and Jynn and FO Officer can pass over turns/TM.  I could get 6+ (more with the cooling whatsit) on normal nodes.

Hmm, waste mere 40 tickets over the time taken to do a node 40 times that can be simmed.....particularly when said node isn't the one you really want to be farming for Datacrons.....

I may discover that 60% stamina is actually too low to win the battle whilst picking up some debuffs, resulting in a loss.

Yeah yeah yeah, no no no!  EUUUGHYUUUGHEEEEGH! (Harvestmouse goes away and gets in the Ostrich Yoga position and does some deep breathing).  Using energy where you aren't rewarded with datacron mats or progress on the map are concepts my brain finds very hard to accept.

Losing a battle due to not having 100% stamina..........that's a week in a dark room playing 1990s grunge music waiting for the world to end.

I'll readily admit that I have a very unique way of approaching Conquest.  I do feel that some sort of virginity will be lost when you equip that blasted thing........a virginity I'm not sure I ready to give up.

But you're rewarded with a whole feat being done in one battle. Whereas otherwise, sure, you're going to get datacron stuff if you do multiple battles there so you aren't really spending more energy you wouldn't have otherwise--but you're spending more time. And it's ultimately a good if you're not so beholden to min/maxing a game that you trade time for one more node attempt, which may not even mean getting a datacron up another level in some cases. To say nothing of a match where you lose because you pushed your stamina a little too far.

But what about your soul, crzydroid?  Your soul!!!!!!

This time around doing the sector 5 feats was far from adequate.  This little mouse is going to have to have a sit down and ponder its best way of getting the job done.

That's my point exactly. Your soul is much better off not worrying so much about maximizing rewards in a mobile game that you spend more time in said game when there is a better option.

    Sorry just rest the rest.

I grew up on grunge hence our strategic differences!

def would recommend a run through clean, do some feats. Then mop up with the most valuable feats working backward from tier 5. Then next time you know what can be skipped.

Although the best tip anyone gave me was to get the Padawan Obi Conqest Omicron. Felt I didn’t need it, then got it and suddenly buff and debuff feats took no work at all. It is such a time saver no matter where you are in the game.

Thanks lol! I don't farm feats a lot so I wasn't sure, but I appreciate the answer.
