Massive Ping Spikes Making Game Unplayable

Hi I'm having crazy ping spikes every minute (I'm not exaggerating it happens so often) I play EA FC 26. I have Verizon FIOS 500 MBPS so that's literally the best wifi in Manhattan (my building is also super new so it's not from my end) and almost no other devices are connected to the wifi. Ping is low then randomly goes up into the high hundreds freezing my game and giving me this really debilitating speed up where everything on my screen moves at lightning speed for like 3-4 seconds rendering anything I was trying to do completely useless. What fixes are possible? I'm playing on PS5 and am loving the game but will have to look for a refund if this issue is not resolved. I can't play a game where my attacks are constantly being stopped by crazy spikes and my defense falls apart and gifts my opposition goals randomly. What can be done to fix this? I already tried to restart my router and while that helped with another problem which was the game consistently losing connection to the wifi, the crazy ping spikes replaced it.
