is it typical to have to battle characters that are 11+ levels higher than my best characters in galactic warfare. I am level 68 with my highest toon being 65 and i am getting people that are level 79 with characters that are all level 75/76 and i am pretty much being 1 shot by them. in all other aspects of the game i am going against people of my level. Why on the battles that you dont reset your abilities/health are you being thrown a team that you cant possibly be expected to beat even with your best team. I even started building up a second and third team to help get me further in GW, but when this keeps happening day after day, i feel like until i get to max level with my toons, there will be no beating this.

Yeah, this has been an issue for a long time now. They don't seem in any kind of hurry to fix the algorithm they use for determining your opponents. It does however help if you can build up multiple teams, so you don't have one group at a much higher power level than the rest of your roster. Also, using several different teams early in GW gets you turn meter that can come in handy later on. But unfortunately these will only help so much until they get a more rational matching system.

Yes, the nodes are scaled to the power of your best team (old power rating, not the current one) and go up to ~120% of your power. That's the way it's designed. There are some teams that can beat the whole thing, but the intent was supposedly always to make you use multiple teams.

They aren't in any hurry to fix it because it isn't really broken (other than the broken nodes, but that isn't really the issue here). It is meant to be challenging. You are supposed to be facing a team with X% power as yours, with X going above 100% in some nodes. It's meant to reward deep rosters. I recommend not developing a deep roster at your level though. If you don't finish GW that's ok. Arena is more important. Focus on that first. You can worry about GW/raids/etc secondary. Focusing on arena will make GW harder, but it's worth it to have a good arena team. You just have to accept that a consequence of that decision is a hard GW.

Plus, as said above, GW is meant to be challenging. Use multiple squads, build TM, avoid wasting your best toons on low-difficulty nodes, etc.

thanks for the comments. i am unsure how i should proceed at this point. i have my 5 jawas (4 of them will be 7 star by the end of next week) all are in lvl 8 gear and lvl 15 mods at lvl 64/65 and the rest of my toons are pretty bad. i cant even finish lvl 7 darkside normal quests at this point.

do i continue to try to level my 5 dark side characters so i have 2 sets of toons or continue on my jawas. i was able to get to around rank 150 on the PVP side, but it is at 450 or so now because i had my darkside toons be the last ones that battled and i lost 1000 spots overnight.

From what I have seen, the calculation for power doesnt reflect the true power the toon has. You can be forced to face teams that can destroy your entire roster.

Just curious, why did you pick jawas to focus on? Just like them? There are certain factions that you really need to get up quickly, like scoundrels for credit/droid heists - how are you doing on those? Jawas aren't a particularly strong team for most parts of the game. If you have the right droids to pair them with you can get decently far for a while though.

I really like jawas in the movies. I didnt care much about trying to be great in the game just getting the characters i enjoy. I am only doing darkside toons because i was stuck on the missions. Once i have 5 ds toons string enough to finish the missions i probably wont touch them again. Droids are next for me
