Wedge Omi concept based on A New Hope

I've had a fun idea for an Omi for Wedge seeing as he is a JML requirement and not particularly usable at higher GPs (and he's basically my favourite toon from legends books and films).
The principal time we see him and Biggs together on the big screen... well the only time! Is when they're trying to take down the Death Star in A New Hope.
Biggs dies/sacrifices himself to give them the time needed to blow that thing and go home.
Concept:
Wedge's unique.
Whenever Wedge and Biggs are in the same team, Biggs taunts. Whenever Biggs does not have taunt, Biggs taunts.
When Biggs dies before Wedge, Wedge gains stats (x,y,z,a etc) from Biggs, cleanses, and recovers HP/Protection.
When Wedge dies before Biggs, Biggs dies instead (much like 5s) and gains 75% of Biggs' stats listed above, cleanses and recovers HP/Protection.
The idea obviously revolves around Biggs enabling Wedge (and Luke) to get the job done. Biggs's natural high evasion and TM gain should allow him to be a pita/off-tank fairly effectively and the reduced stat buff on a sacrifice encourages trying to bypass the taunt rather than brute force them.
