Weekly Double Drop Bonues

So, recently we had a double Cantina node reward event where during 5 days it was double drops from all Cantina nodes. This event went over very well and I think we would all like to see things like this implemented in the future and much more often.

This is a system that many games have used such as World of Warcraft. Where each week of the month you have an "event" that caters to one specific mode in the game for the duration of that week. I think SWGoH should follow this path.

For example the first week of the month would be double Light Side Battle drops and lets say the second week is Dark Side Battles and the Third Cantina Nodes .. etc....

With the addition of so many new characters and the lack of item drop increases the game needs something to help players catch up and I feel like this system would help very much in that aspect without over doing the amount of stuff dropping.

This is bad. I cannot afford to do 50/50/100/100/100 and 100/100/200/200 refreshes every week.
    Your brain is bad

Indeed even if you did not do the refreshes you would still benefit greatly. Also in similar app games, you save up crystals for the scheduled double drop days.
  • It's a promotional event. Something that is used to pull in old players and reward dedicated members. No reason to put it out more often. That would lead to less money for EA and would be a slap in the face of people who have been farming these characters for months

No. People would burn through crystals & buy them more often. Like the guy arguing double drops have no benefit without dumping hundreds of crystals on them. Pow! Instant increase in crystal sales. People would also still burn cash on acquiring new characters before everyone else, that wouldn't change.

People would do the same refreshes they have always done. But get twice the rewards. If the event happened regularly, wouldn't you just save your crystals and spend them for the event? People would rotate between farming mods and farming shards whenever double drops are up. EA would still take a hit, since Mod packs would hold less value and so would Chromiums. Your argument is poor...

Arguing against your own self interests is in this case a poor argument
  • When you add characters so fast and put new players further and further behind its a short term way to run a business model.
  • I would like to think the double drops as a weekly thing or even bi monthly would make people buy more crystals or at least spend more crystals

This makes no sense. The only area of the game that new players are "behind" in is raids. All other aspects of the game are completely independent. Arena is grouped by start dates - so everyone is on a level playing field - and the people in your arena shard basically have access to the same raid levels as you do, as they (unless they are whales) level up at the same pace.

If you think raids and the only place new players get behind then im wasting my time responding to you
