I have three teams that get used, two of which I mix during later nodes, and a few backup characters that I put turn meter on in node 1 so they can slot into my teams later if I think they'll help:
Node 1: Backup characters team - Teebo G9 (L), Cpt Phamsa G8, Sun Fac G8, Ahsoka Tano G10, Lando G10.
Node 2: Empire team - Palpatine G11 (L), Vader G8, Royal Guard G8, Tie Pilot G9, Thrawn G8 5*.
Node 3: Rebels Team - Wedge G11 (L), Biggs G11, St Han G11, Ackbar G11, Boba Fett G11.
Node 4: Rogue One Team - zJyn G10 (L), Chirrut G10 6*, Baze G10 4*, Cassian G8, R2-D2 G8.
From there, I run the Rogue One Team as far as possible, which is often until node 9 or 11, because Jyn's zeta lead combined with Chirrut's healing is amazing at keeping the team healthy and durable throughout the war - especially Baze, who gets 10% protection back every time we kill an enemy. Typically my next step is to swap out Cassian and R2 from that team, putting in Wedge and Biggs, which adds more than enough firepower to blast through a team that might kill off the as-yet under-geared Cassian and R2. I do sometimes put in the Empire team against teams that are proving annoying, though, as it can snowball big time if Palpatine gets enough stuns, thanks to the ridiculous turn meter gain Palpatine's lead gives himself and Tie Pilot.
Once I reach the last node I put in the Rebels team, usually with Ackbar traded for either Palpatine (if I think the team can just win/can't do its job without his AoE stun) or one of the backup characters (often Sun Fac or Teebo for the dispels they offer vs auto-taunts). Typically that team won't wipe out the final node, though sometimes it does, but my goal with it is to take out two or three of the most important characters on the enemy team. Often this is General Kenobi and the team's leader, plus either a Nihilus or a second tank if present. If it's a GK/zBarris team, those two are always the targets and I retry if I fail to kill both, because there's no way my teams without Wedge and Biggs are going to take down zBarris. In any case, once the key characters of the team are down my Rogue One or Empire team is always enough to mop up the remainder.
