You aren't losing because Biggs and Wedge are bad. You're losing because you're bad.
The issue is that in these newer shards, most people don't go Droids because they're a tough farm and can lose to Wiggs with bad RNG. People don't have Palp for Empire either. I can definitely see the complaint because you're heavily punished for not farming Wiggs, in almost all aspects of the game.
