when we get Vulture Droid, Tri-fighter, etc, should they need pilots?

I'm not sure but I believe some of these ships are in old game data that was mined from the beginning, but I would imagine they would be only NPCs . I don't see them deviating from the current pilot driven ship model of how the power is derived.

Yes, use some droids that can't pilot as a new equivalent. Such as B2 in a trifighter or Magnaguard in a hynea bomber etc

magnaguards (not sure if in canon or just legends at the moment) actually were pilots, using a modified Porax-38
