Zeta abilities are a great way to spice this game up, though they sure take a long time to farm. I was one of those who gave a zeta to Barriss, and was very pleased of the refund when the ability changed. I considered giving the refunded zeta to Vader, but there was some unexpected behavior that I was uncertain was WAI. So I created a discussion, but after a few days, it was moved to Squad and Character Strategy with no explanation. So perhaps it was WAI... A few weeks later, @SnakesOnAPlane, created a new thread, effectively asking the same question. Again, no dev response. Now we are informed there are a few bugs related to Vader's zeta, and they have been fixed. Fair enough - great when bugs get fixed. A pretty significant impact on Zader, and no word on a zeta refund this time around.So my question is, when a zeta ability is significantly nerfed, should we anticipate a refund or not? If a zeta ability is not WAI, could you let folks know as soon as possible? Thanks

I asked basically the same question and my thread was deleted and I got an official warning. For nothing against TOS that you could get to without making a major (over) reach.

This wasn't a nerf, this was a blatant bug. His leader ability states very bluntly that you have to cause damage to remove turn meter, but you could clearly see that they would still remove turn meter despite the attack being dodged and not damaging the enemy. Anybody who paid attention to the skill descriptions knew this was going to get fixed at some point

Agreed bug, and they fixed what they called a bug with Bariss and EA gave everyone their zeta materials back. Still having a hard time seeing how this is different.

@CG_Kozispoon some clarification on how/why the Zader bug fix can/is being treated differently than Zariss bug fix

The point was that the double tag allowing for double trm chance. Because it was very ambivalent as to whether hers was working as intended or not. The wording didn't specify and there's a few other uniques that persist after death so a lot of players assumed it was working as intended. Contrast this to Vader's where it specifically states that you have to cause damage in order to remove turn meter.

(Also because Barris was working as intended until they fixed her "bug". I think they intended for the unique to persist past death but didn't foresee that people would use it to create tanky time out teams that were very very difficult to beat in a five minute arena match. It was easier to say they fixed a bug than to admit that they messed up)

That's only half the fix. Yes that was obviously not wai. But the 2 tags each giving the same effect is very unclear. Palp gives both leader effects to vader and himself with 2 tags. Why is it wrong to think that vader would give palp and himself both effects from 2 tags...

I'd expect your zeta back within a couple days. Too many zaders out there that will complain.

It was made very clear that was the path with zarriss, I am not as hopeful with zader.

I use Jedi in arena and I've lost more than a few matches because of tfp removing turn meter through foresight on yoda. I honestly didn't know palp and Vader removed turn meter twice. I assume the difference is that palp grants a different mechanic to and empire character and a different mechanic to a sith, you could assume he'd grant both mechanic to a double tagged character. Vader's simply grants the same mechanic to empire and sith, so I've always assumed it wasn't meant to be double tapped.
