Isn't the speeder thing already a part of the Leia journey? So basically in the lack of imagination, they'll basically recycle one part of the Leia journey. That's how I see it. I really miss raids with multiple phases, this Kyrat raid in my opinion was a fail. Constantly doing the same thing over and over and over again, gets boring within a month. Sure every raid gets boring fast, but these one dimensional 1 phase raids scream laziness from the developer's part.
Which let's be honest has been obvious lately.
Kyrat launch was a fail
Conquest on steroids was a fail
Maraduer taking out top fleets was a fail
Leviathan launch was a fail
Jabba's bugged journey was a fail
Leia's journey is still currently a semi-fail
And the list goes on and on.
Basically they'll throw out untested content, with severe miscalculations on rewards and game economy. Which pretty much translates into them caring nothing about the player base and doing the bare minimum for profit.
At the end of the day this is a game that you can't even play, it's contents are very limited to energy, time, lack of content.
It's not like something that you can play more to advance more/faster like 95% of other games. At best you get 15-20 minutes of actual game time out of it a day.
They could easily implement practice nods to practice on your current rosters that is not limited by any kind of energy. No rewards, but we could practice battles,without actually being afraid of dropping a battle. Stuff like that would be cool and useful. It'd give us content to mess with as well.
Anyways I'm not wowed at all by the upcoming raid, sounds like an altered version of the already existing Leia journey.

The interesting part of the new raid is how different it is.
My concern is how they will make it so we won’t be repeating the same cycle of skills with a particular team all the time until enrage. Krayt dragon had phases in the fight that made it interesting (at least for me).
Personally I’m hoping that the increased down time between raids will help with the burnout. Needing to do it only once every 6 rather than 3 days is a nice QoL update.
For everything else related to the game play, personally, I’m going to have to reserve judgement until it’s live.
by once you mean 8 times per week?
Well it’s 8 battles a week rather than 10, as someone else has pointed out, but personally I’d much rather do 8 lots of a slightly different battle than have to 5 slightly different battles twice each.
For me the repetition is the worst part of the game, and this is a small improvement on Krayt just for that purpose. It’ll also be interesting to see just how the different faction mechanics play out for me. On top of that if this does have completely different moves and mechanics to other battles that might have a novelty value.
Beyond that, I’ve just done approx 120 battles in two weeks with either Wookiees, Cartel, phoenix or ewoks against bad batch in grindquest. Near identical battles every time. No matter how bad this ends up being I doubt it’ll end up any worse than grindquest, and has potential right now. That may change when it finally drops, and it may be so dull I quit the game, but for now that’s unknown. Why not go in being vaguely positive?
