Obviously as a player we don't think it should ever have been this way, but you're delusional if you don't think CG planned it exactly this way. To g13 every character currently in the game, you need 33,950 shockprods and 24,950 computers. Of course they made sure one was harder than the other and of course they made the harder one even harder to get. It's how CG rolls.
I quite like the way they have it. I farm the shock-prods but not the computers, so I buy the computers more regularly than shock-prods and the increased amount allows me to keep a good pile of both of them.
The problem with that is you eventually have too many computers. For example, to take my entire roster to relic, I now need 1230 shockprods but only 219 computers. I also currently have 1820 shockprods and 1131 computers in inventory.
Well me too, but that's mainly out of necessity because the shock prods are harder to get otherwise. Would be nice to be able to farm and purchase them equally based on current need.
That is the exact farm strategy I use, and I generally have a decent stash of both. I mostly farm new characters so not really hoarding but I don’t feel too delayed. We have also had Zeffo and Mandalore which has improved economy for organised guilds, my guild has Zeffo unlocked which is a nice top up.
