Since the initial seeding is based on people's GP, the first month of GAC will basically show how good your roster is for your current GP, as in, relative to your GP (7.6M+ people excluded since they will face people from 7.6M-10.5M).
You will be fighting people with similar GP at the beginning, as they will have the same rating as you. If you have a bloated roster, or a non-focused roster, you will likely lose to people with leaner rosters and move down a bit. There you will be fighting lower GP players. For people with leaner rosters things will likely be the opposite, they will climb in ranks and will end up facing higher GP players.
But there's a "limit" up to which you will be able to climb or drop. If you drop down far enough, you will be facing such low players relative to your GP, that it will basically be impossible to drop further for you (unless you don't play at all), as your roster will be much superior to your opponents. Same goes for people that climb up due to having great rosters/good skills. They will reach a point where they will be facing super high opponents that will crush them simply because they're way too advanced in terms of roster strength/depth.
99% of the people that are in Kyber 1 right now, will very likely not drop lower than Kyber 3 or 4, simply because their rosters will be too strong to lose to 5.5-6M GP people, even if they are not a good player in terms of skill. Exceptions will only occur if players don't play. Just like people lower than 6M will very likely never reach Kyber 1, simply because their rosters aren't strong enough to face most people with 7.2M, no matter how well they play.
To sum it up, the majority of the player base likely won't move much further down or up compared to where they are now. People that are in Division 1 of their league will never drop out of their league. And people that are in Division 5 of their league will likely never reach the next league, or at least not anytime soon (unless they are huge spenders and progress quickly). Exceptions are people that won't play the mode or are inactive. But that's pretty much the gist of it.
