as far as i know its random between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, just like it is for 5th, 6th, and 7th palces. for the 2-4 bracket, you all got 2 wins that's no different from the other two players, the only real difference is when you lost your one match. but you all get the same reward for that GAC so there is nothing being missed out with rewards.

I've never gone into details for looking but id imagine that placement is based either on: RNG, GP, total points earned that GAC, OR original skill placements, when you have the same win-loss

I think it's based on the total banners, at least that's the impression I got.

banners matter in each round but over all GAC week ranking they don't actually matter its wins-loses to get your rank. in each round tieing banners means higher GP wins, that's it.

I have never seen a tie by the time it gets to the bracket rankings. There is always one, and only one, player with 3 wins in the end. In the case of 2 no-shows, the same GP tie breaker kicks in and there is still going to be a "winner".
