Why was my post removed?

It got straight up deleted. I checked my account. One second it was successfully posted and the next it was removed and it said that I "do not have permission to view this post or content is missing".

Did you edit it within 5 minutes of posting? It gets flagged for mod checking if you edit soon after posting, can be released by a mod.

I did. I was trying to put quotes around something so people didn't reply the obvious.

It didn't delete it. It just hid it from view until mods review it. Because immediately editing posts is something usually only done by maniacs, and hiding posts from maniacs until they can be reviewed by non-maniacs is generally a good thing.

Now, given that you immediately made a completely level-headed and non-maniacal post in response to your original post not showing up, obviously you aren't a maniac and this was a total error that will be soon fixed.

Thanks. I'll know that for next time. I didn't know these forums had a form of spam control. I just assumed it was all done by humans.
