Firstly, I'm not at all interested in Wicket or MT (ewoks, NS, meh) so I don't really have a horse in the race on this one. But I still think this glacial rollout strategy is a bad idea, and if it continues they will likely release a character I
do care about this way, so I think it's best to say something about it regardless. Plus, Platoons.
What I don't understand is why you seem to think it's a big deal if an "old timer" gets a 7* MT or Wicket. You're not going to cross paths with them anyway, so what does it matter?
- They're not in the same arena servers as you.
- Tournaments are dead and not coming back, so no worries there.
- They're highly unlikely to be in the same guild as you, ruling out any raid advantage.
- Guild vs Guild is likely to be matched by guild GP, so no advantage there either.
- GW is the only spot you might see a squad with a 7* MT/Wicket in one of the later nodes, once you've advanced to the point where your top 5 are quite powerful.
If they upped the shard reward or frequency a lot of the complaints would go away, IMO. Playing the events is a lot more interesting than simming a node, so it's got that going for it at least. But what is the point of playing them if the payoff is over a year away? That's a lot of up-front work to brush up your ewoks/NS, and neither hero is particularly amazing. I don't mind long farms - filling a G12 slot is a pretty good feeling of accomplishment - but this is a bit extreme.
