Can't believe I only just noticed this but you're comparing different types of characters.
Wicket/Talzin/Spirit/Zombie aren't the new General Kenobi, Commander Luke, R2 or anything like that. You're acting like the legendary event and raid systems are being replaced by this for new characters of that type. Why so you think that?
These characters, especially Spirit and Zombie, are just the new Logray, Paploo, Fulcrum Ahsoka or Veteran Smugglers. Imagine if they introduced this system last year instead of this year. From when I started I would now be around half done with Krennic, Deathtrooper and Rogue one. Maybe about that for the 3 newest sith too. Phoenix squad? Less than half done. Thrawn would still be a pipe dream for me instead of being at 7 stars.
