Man, I don't even know where to begin with this one, so let's start with I'm a spender and I know why the spenders are upset with this. I'm not a Kraken, pretty much a whale.
The reason why spenders are upset is because of pure burnout. It's not the cadence because it doesn't matter to spenders. Average to 7* MT is around $200.00 and we haven't even gotten to the other 2 NS yet which are somewhat needed to make MT the most effective in an NS squad. They'll cost probably about the same, so you're staring at $600.00 off the top for an optimal 7* NS deck.
Next up, we have Wicket. He's the only real non farmable Ewok unless you go Chromium for a CHANCE. Staring at another few hundred bucks right there.
Lest we forget the Viagra Brothers, VHS and VCS and ALL the grand speculation surrounding them and the next Rey. Rey could possibly render MT useless. How's that $600.00 investment looking now? Rey will most likely be Hero's Journey. Got those toons ready OR ready to farm at the drop of a hat? Gonna have to spend and panic farm? Speaking of which:
New movie, new books, new comics coming out. Follow their release and who has dropped. Thrawn came right around the time the Timothy Zahn novel dropped. Check those out. We're probably getting another Kylo and another Phasma for the movie (just my speculation). Why? Because:
DS TB. Look at all the people who had to invest super duper heavy in LS and Rebels. They now have to add more DS characters in a short amount of time to make DS TB work. Sooooooooo, Marquee Events? Spend to 7*? New things? Oh, and just wait to see who pops up in these "Characters of interest" and who's needed in platoons. Need a few 7* MT / Premium NS (See Paploo and Logray)? Not in a whale guild? Good luck to you pal. Should have spent. You'll have a 7* MT in 2 years.
See, it's not JUST a Talzin / Wicket issue. It's the amount thrown at spenders and we haven't even covered the time sink / cost of gear / gear economy / zeta aspect of it. We've just mentioned those two and it's looking around $800.00 - $1,000.00 JUST for the last Ewok and the preferred NS faction. A lot of these whales and Krakens have spent for TB. Trust me, I've seen QUITE a few whales and Krakens with GP of 2.8-3+ million just up and quit. There comes a point in time where you just look and say this is ridiculous and a ton of the OG spenders are already there.
So, OP, you've completely missed the mark with it being an "entitlement" issue.
