Will CG add more, better known characters?

You would think CG would add more characters that people have a chance of knowing, rather than the slew of characters being added recently that have had 13 seconds of screen time.
SWGOH, being a game, you would think they would add more video game star wars characters. Rahm Kota, Kazdan Paratus or shaak ti's padawan that turns to the dark side in the force unleashed. All of these characters would be much more well known and welcomed, sought after than these random characters from the shows. I don't think its an issue of them not being cannon characters, I mean we have starkiller, mara jade ect. I would love to see more characters from the games before we get random background actors from a 3 second shot from a failed series.

(W for adding Satele Shan though)
Also, if we start adding such obscure characters, why not start with Bib Fortuna and Dexter Jettster, Watto or something.

  • I agree that I'd like to see Rahm Kota added (and he probably will be to be the Jedi Tank SK's unique references once Juhani leaves for Satele squads) but... you're pretty much wrong on the approach of "13 seconds of screen time" and "background shot of a failed series."

Its been said already, but Andor was very successful. Not only did it garner dozens of emmy nods and huge prestige, but its the only Disney+ Star Wars that saw steady growth with each episode and each season. Only the Mandalorian has it beat and, even then, Mando rates began dropping off and definitely arent having the same staying power as Andor has after its finale.

Its easily some of the best writing and execution in the entire franchise. You either didnt watch it or didnt understand it, which is honestly fine either way. Not everyone has the same taste. But the fact is that Andor is the favorite in the franchise of a lot of people and it makes sense that they'd try and capitalize on that.

Now they just need to add the Fondor and the TIE Avenger to ships and we'll be golden.

Stormtrooper Luke  - hard to believe anyone didn't know him.

Darth Vader (Duel’s End)  - hard to believe anyone didn't know Darth Vader

Yoda & Chewie - a combination of two well-known characters.

Asajj Ventress - she was present throughout the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch series and then was in a series Tales of the Underworld shorts.

Inquisitor Barriss - Barriss Offee had a powerful arc in Clone Wars and her time as inquisitor was in a series  of Tales of the Empire shorts.

IG-90 - appears in the Darth Vader comics and was hired to join a squad of bounty hunters hired by Doctor Aphra.  If you don't read the comics, I can see you not knowing who he is.

So, 4 really well known characters. 1 less known and 1 more obscure.

Speak for yourself. I barely remember what they were like, and not for lack of paying attention.

I dunno, it's all personal. I never played the Force Unleashed games, so I don't really know any of those characters you mentioned.

Though I don't think I'd call Bib Fortuna obscure. He's a speaking side character from one of the original movies, and he appears in material from both legends and canon, including a canon TV series.

I don't connect with all the characters we get (or most of them, probably). But I'm pretty happy to be getting some from Andor right now.

  • Andor was the most critically successful Star Wars series of all time.  Hardly a failed series.

The Anniversary set of marquee characters was full of characters people know.
