Will Padawan Obi-Wan be accelerated in time for 2x or 3x drops?

What do we know/think? Will he be accelerated so we can get up to 6 shards a drop, or will it be like the day after kinda thing?

Padawan Obi-Wan is currently giving out double drops. He is not accelerated.

Edit: I incorrectly said he was accelerated when he's only giving out double drops.
