Zarkin lead for next R2 event?

Can you replace Magma? You could do a gear tier less with someone who can taunt.

I you want to put a zeta on an Empire character I recommend you Thrawn's leadership ability. I put a zeta on him some weeks ago and it's very good (specially for TB)

This, ^ I did it with Magmatrooper and he's useless (and you can't remove TM in tier 7) StormTrooper is a good option and a decent tank for an Empire team

I did it with Palpatine when it first came out, and I did the mythic event with Thrawn. Both are good, it depends on your other characters. If you use characters that give buffs, use Thrawn, if you use characters that apply debuffs use Palpatine. If you are not sure, save the zeta and use it on Thrawn only if it's needed (or if you want a good empire leader ;])

Tarkin lead zeta is helpful but not necessary

It is of course doable. As I said to someone else a zeta and gear xi on thrawn Palpatine and Vader a pair of level 1 monkeys could cover the rest of the event.

That said if you do it with your squad I would reccomend gear x (at least on ep vader and thrawn) and a zeta somewhere because you are carrying magma.

If you had royal guard or stoemtrooper instead you could do it with gear vii or viii though you might want gear ix (on one or two characters) if you are not inclined to spend several hours praying to rngesus and waiting for it to work.

I didn't say it couldn't be done with Magma I merely said that it could be done easier and with less gear needed if you replaced him. I guess it's a choice farm a replacement or farm more gear.
