After spending months farming the right ships for the zeta mat challenge I was finally ready to farm zetas. I was thinking that there are three challenges a week, so I would be getting at least 6 zeta mats a week. This would mean that in three and a half weeks I could zeta my first character. That's not too long to wait I thought to myself. Then I discovered that the drop rate for zeta mats is just pathetic! Why is it so low. I have had about 4 drops in the past two to three weeks. How the heck are we supposed to zeta our characters with such a low drop rate. This is making me want to throw my phone against the wall. Urrrrrrrrgggggghhh!

Ha Ha, yes forgive me for not being as masterful as you at a mobile phone game. But now I bow down to your brilliance. I''l bet you are a real whiz at tiddlywinks and monopoly as well. I think I will use my own foresight on more important life situations. But in the mean time feel free to gloat and rub my nose in it as much as you want.

If it was easy and a guaranteed drop rate, then people would farm them there and build better ships in the fleet store. It's really the other way, you have to choose to farm them from the store or buy ships and then you "supplement" with extras from the challenge.

I went from having dark side ships showing up every day in GW to hardly any right now. And that's what I need to finish up for the challenge. So I decided I'm taking my time with them, and spending my fleet currency on Zetas. There are no other toons that I want right now, so I may as well. I'll save what I need back for Slave 1 shards in the process.

Just remember that everyone else is in the same boat, even the big spenders. You cannot pay (directly) for fleet arena tokens, and you cannot get more tries on the challenge.

I just unlocked the challenge this week I'm 1/2 so far, and bought another one since then. Until they come out with more ship content I'm done spending tokens on blueprint's and all of them will go towards zetas as they seem, atm at least, a better purchase than ships.

op- here's what I did: bit the bullet, saved up enough Fleet currency every few days and bought one then farmed whatever ships i could via GW. fwiw i have had one drop in the last 12 tries.

Zetas are too important, ignore them at your own peril! With GK, QGZ makes your jedis squad capable of handling pretty much any team, but it doesn't hold on defense. Zader is passè, unless you want to solo the entire Rancor. Zaul is a must for Sith/DN, Zylo can fit on many squads, the protection recovery is nice, he can win 3 on 1 at the end, and there's the p1 heroic tank solo thing as well. Zarriss will carry you through GW, was a staple of TITO's and can mitigate a Wiggs heavy shard if you're on a newer shard where that's all they run.

Really, the only OP non-zeta squad would be Wiggs, Chaze, GK. If you want to skip the zeta challenge, and use your ship credits elsewhere, stsrted farming Chaze from shipments now!

I have zetas on Zarriss, Zader, Zaul, and Zavage, and the results speak for themselves.

I'm also aggressively farming Chaze shards, they help mitigate meta shifts

Barris, Vader, Maul, Savage.They wouldnt have Zs in front of their names if you didnt have them...

The fastest way to get Zetas is to buy them. I'm going to be getting a 5th Zeta character tomorrow or Friday.
