You may want to go back and reread her kit. It's useless apart from her unique that should persist.

Padmés stop, DRs stop, Trayas stop.
What do you mean old Ben's unique? His unique states when he dies his allies get buffs for 2 turns. After the buffs are gone they dont reapply

Apparently, Barriss' unique did use to endure but was "altered" (pray they don't alter it any further) in 2017. It's really her only feature. For this reason, like KRU's 2-turn stun, I lobby that she should be the only character with an enduring unique.

I think the word you're looking for, and the one CG used, is "fixed".
It was never meant to endure. Just as others have pointed out, uniques either end at death or are triggered by death. None of them, intentionally, provide the same benefit before and after death.
If allies can benefit off Old Ben's unique when he dies, believe me they should be able to benefit off Barriss'. She's a worse toon and if anybody deserves to be the exception (she does), it's her. Her unique is pretty much all she has.

Depends on the battle. If she's against Nightsisters, then she does.
Or Palpatine’s health steal, or Sith Empire Trooper’s AOE, or stealthed Sith Assassin, or Count Dooku’s counterattacks... those are just the ones off the top of my head that ignore protection.
If that character is present, if they go before her, if they use an ability that ignores protection, if they're still standing, if allies don't evade, if, if, if--- and now we're left with the 1% of the time Barriss has anything to heal during the first ⅓ of battle.
Honest question, how often are you using Barriss?

Given that her basic is her only heal proportionate to her health (6%), and a GK lead would boost her max health by 30% but defense by 70%, I was wondering if some defense mods on her would make her even tankier?
