But yeah, I can see your point too - which is why I changed the title... This is just as much of a nerf for PTP as FTP - just at lot easier for PTP to change it into a buff, fair ? :smile:

Nowadays with so many GLs, keeping a couple at r5 makes sense. the buff from r5 to r7/8 isn't huge, but the resource expenditure is. And with so many GLs there are going to be at least a couple you use only when it's to your advantage in the matchup (SEE vs JML in arena, say). Leaving those at r5 or even r4 makes sense, since it's the kits that are going to deliver the victory, not those last couple relic levels.

Effectively Rey is now nerfed as best non GL counter to her didn’t get nerfed. It’s not the shameless manipulation for profit that upsets me, it’s that whoever did it was too lazy to do it properly so we will get another round pretty soon once they figure it out. Makes the game less enjoyable to play when they constantly need kits that arn’t exactly OP to begin with.

Excuse me, what? GL's receive max HP based on their relic lvl, besides all the buffs recevide from the relic level itself. As Artumas said, you are clearly not playing the game right. If you're f2p, you're getting GLs at a slow pace, which means you have time to farm for all the gear required to get them to r7 right away. If you're not, you're just not planning in advance, which is fundamental in this game.

And if you're whaling on GLs to get them faster, you can whale on r7 too. So no, there not a single reason not to have GLs at r7, except you're doing it wrong.

If we're talking JML and JMK I agree, because they're usuable without their ultimate - I would insta-relic them to R7, maybe even R8 if CG could manage a stabile Conquest cadence :neutral:

However, for SEE, Rey and Kylo, I would argue it's a better utilization of ressources to slowly relic them and focus on other characters - while farming the ultimate... Especially Rey, because she was guaranteed to hit 300k damage with the whirlwind - that viability is now nerfed.

I know :) - but most lower level/pre-ult strategies, that I've seen, focuses on getting Rey's support toons to half life to utilize her whirlwind... And in those strategies, it's usually better with a weak lifeblood that's timed properly (with Rey modded for speed and tenacity)...

But with ult, sure, high health is the way to go (unless you're running the guns blazing strategy with high offence mods :smiley:)

But this sounds a little too close to paper zombie if it's a strategy that relies on her being weaker. CG has made it very clear that putting more investment into a character should make them better.
