Said it before and will say it again - I have no idea who Revan is.
I had to look it up, he’s from another game.
"Legendary status among SW fans" apparently...
:p
A book series as well. But Revan is pretty darn gigantic as far as SW fans that are interested. I am surprised you weren't familiar with the character.
So was Thrawn though, and I only vaguely knew who he was before he came to the game."CoastalJames;c-1589820" wrote:

Then you’re probably not a Star Wars nerd"Nihion;c-1590006" wrote:
Again, then you’re not a SW nerd. Which is fine. I’ll bet you don’t know who Eli Vanto is too. Or Canderous Ordo. Again, that’s fine, they are just Star Wars nerd basics in my opinion.
Stop gatekeeping."BubbaFett;c-1590023" wrote:

Language evolves. The lack of gender-neutral pronouns that are polite to address a human by is a failure in the English language that is being addressed. Singular they/them is the most broadly recognizable method for general consumption, since Spivak pronouns haven't really caught on. At this point, singular they is not wrong; it is simply a different convention that has emerged.
Revan was a human male..... Not quite sure what you are going on about....
He was first introduced in KOTOR, where Revan could have been any gender or race.- if it’s Revan (god i hope it is) i think it’s time for the devs to introduce the first Neutral toon to the game. he doesn’t belong on Light or Dark side.

Oh my. You must now turn over your SW secret decoder ring."YaeVizsla;c-1590038" wrote:

Revan is not a canon character. Revan is a Legends character who new canon has toyed with acknowledging multiple times, but they haven't done it at this time.
So what? The devs have said in interviews they can pull from legends, and have a few times now. They have not yet taken a legends character, and drastically altered them for no reason."YaeVizsla;c-1590038" wrote:

Between the novel series and the pair of video games, one is enshrined as a cornerstone of Star Wars lore, and the other is an ancillary tie-in product. The video game is the one that has that elevated status, and Galaxy of Heroes has not drawn from print media.
Um... no. There is A legends version. Period. End of statement. A video game with an option to custom make a character is not a version. Even the video game series acknowledged the definitive version of Revan. Here he is.

Also, was Starck in anything? I'm pretty sure he's never visibly present in anything. It's just mentioned in a book somewhere that he was in an AT-AT that Luke blew up. (Someone please correct me if they have better info than I.) So that's worth adding to the game, but not Revan based on his print media version? Pretty sure Thrawn would have made it into the game too even without being in Rebels, but we'll never know."YaeVizsla;c-1590038" wrote:

Neil deGrasse Tyson is a sorely needed representation point. The people who's self esteem would be destroyed by a video game character not being the way they played it need more help than representation points."YaeVizsla;c-1590038" wrote:

I respect people who've earned that respect. And beyond that I treat all people with basic human dignity. I have no such feelings towards individual RPG play throughs."BubbaFett;c-1590073" wrote:

Yes, and maybe starkiller self identified as a toilet seat..... Seriously, who really cares?.... Anyone who would get upset that a character would be brought into a video game as a certain gender has much bigger issues facing them....
Quite frankly, Traya and RJT are arguably the two best toons in this game right now..... Don't see anyone whining that they are both female....
It's this kind of talk that will keep the devs from bringing Revan tongue game at all....
I’m pretty sure it’s just the fact that in the game, Revan could be anything. Rey and Traya? They are female characters. End of story. Because of the game, Revan is complicated.
However, there are books about Revan, and a strict backstory where he is a human male, with one storyline. And that should be the description of Revan"Rebmes;c-1590145" wrote:
Yes, Revan is gender-neutral. You can't put a face on "it" and you don't need to, just put on the helmet.
However, I suspect SWGOH isn't ready for Revan (and/or Malak etc). We took a dip into KOTOR 2 with the Sith raid, and now I suspect it's going to be awhile before we have another taste of the Old Republic lore.
If I had to guess what they're up to in there, I'd say a Jedi re-work is the most likely, considering how long Jedi have been at the bottom - but who knows. Ships 2.0 seems to be complete, and raid re-balancing proved to be a pipe dream; they're up to something.
They need more ships for 2.0 to be complete. And keep up: A Jedi-rework was confirmed to not be happening.
Revan is only gender-neutral in KOTOR; besides that, he is a human male. Read Wookieepedia for the real Legend.- thedrjojoSeasoned Newcomer

Except they explicitly said no Jedi rework was in the works
