how in the x am i suppossed to pass malak mission 2?

and how do i make a formal complaint about this game because this is insane? legends bosses keep getting more and more powerful the more you power up, but do they tell you that? no! and I can I depower my characters to make the fight easier? also no! so what am I supposed to do now? i have followed, guides, videos, instructions from other players, I even asked chatgpt for strategies. and nothing works? what am I supposed to do now because I can't even buy shards until I finish the mission, which I can't! so is that it? just get used to the fact that I can't use legends because I'm not a supergenius who can devote every moment of every day to this game to figure out the complex strategy to do what I need? or just quit because I'm not good enough at it? it's a game! it's supposed to be entertaining, not drain your time and exchange it for stress.

  • Why not drop your .gg so we can look at your account. You can quit if you want, but why not try to let the community help first.

while i'd appreciate the community's help and am grateful in advance, i'd like an answer from someone official as well as to whose brilliant idea it was to scale the bosses and not just stick with something fixed.

  • It's all about tactics. And rng luck, as usual in this game.

    1. Do NOT hit Malak (unless you have to because he taunts. In that case use whatever gives the LEAST damage)
    2. Do NOT use aoe (unless it's the only move left or Malak is taunting. Then aoe tends to give the least damage)
    3. Kill the robots as soon as they appear
    4. Kill the prisoners closest to Malak in order left/right/left/right etc. Malak may absorb one or two
    5. When all prisoners are dead kill Malak

As usual you may need to do this a few times before you get it but this has always worked for me

    Good luck

Also what scaling are you talking about? I see nowhere in the notes that he scales with your toons, that would be the first boss that I know of, that does that.

The big issue is your mods are terrible and you don't even have sets on them.

For mods to work, they need to be in their set. Speed, crit damage and offense need 4 mods of that type to grant the bonus, the rest need 2 mods each so start with that. Honestly you should use the basic mod option to assign mods to give you an idea what type each toon needs.

Those guides you watched, should have had mod suggestions, it doesn't seem like you took note of that section. DR should have your fastest speed mods, Basty should have speed too. HK and Ordo your best offense mods.

Attached is the breakdown of what the set bonus does, and your fastest speed mods which should go on DR as an example. All your arrows should be speed primary, that is the only shape that has speed as a primary and will always be +30 speed (+32 when 6*), (kudos for having a +25 speed arrow though, shame it is crit avoidance)

  • i'll give that all a shot but after a while... i can't take any more losses in this thing at the moment. but thank you.

Give it a few more tries after remodding, I do tenacity jedi (far right) then crit damage (far left) then left and then right for the jedi kill order. Everyone does it differently, I just like to do tenacity 1st so you can keep buff immunity on him while you work on the jedi.

If you dont get it, you can work on a different project and farm some mods. You can do C3P0 and finish Chewie to give you a strong rebel team.

i'll try... but this is still too much work to put in to a simple game where you're supposed to just have fun.

1000% this game can be a lot of effort, it isn't for everyone. You made it 6.7m which is awesome and are just starting to get to the point where things can start to flow easily with small stockpiles. My 9th anniversary was Jan, but I still spend a lot of time in game or game adjacent. There have been a few times when I wanted to walk away from the game cause of an event. It is a very understandable reaction.

I'm a little confused here about the scaling comment? Malak doesn't exactly scale...What Malak does is very heavy health percent based damage...thus it can make it seem like when you go in with far more powerful character than people did it originally can still seem a bit taxing. In boredom I went back and 3 starred a bunch of journeys and let me be the first to tell you Malak was one that I believe was all 1 star completes. It's a pretty hard journey. I actually had to restart it a few times with an almost full R9 squad that should decimate him. It's because the fight is less about brute force, and more about strategy.

Not all fights will be this hard. JKR, DR, Malak were some of the harder ones I can think of alongside of some of the first GL releases before changes made to everything. Just stay focused, and you'll get it. And when you do, you'll be glad you didn't give up.

**Edit: You really need to look into mods. It's a fundamental of the game as much as your characters. It will literally block any real progress the further you go in game.**
