Question about Sion

Question

Twice now, when activating Held by Hatred, Sion gets ability block...

Is there a mechanic i'm missing?

The second time, i was against CSL, Thrawn, R2-D2, Han Solo and Chwebacca... I looked at them and nothing in their mechanics mentioned giving ability block passively.

Thrawn’s basic.

Thrawns speed up, when it expires becomes an ability block.  Held by Hatred will accelerate this, by giving an turn after activating.

When the Speed Up, which Thrawn applies with his Basic expires, ability block is inflicted on that chatacter.
When Sion uses Held by Hatred he takes an extra turn, causing the speed up to expire and therefore ability block to apply.
