Being Punished for having the better Punishing One?

Just wondering if anything is ever going to be done about this? I stopped farming this ship at 6* and it makes zero difference. My R9 Piett makes me go first. And so what? I consistently lose mirror matches and have for months. I’m guessing by the lack of anything over 4 months, the answer is just to live with getting screwed over for trying to make my fleet better?
