Since the Hera event arrived, a significant number of characters have lost the ability to cleanse. Examples being Wat basic, Rebel crits with R2D2 on the team, GG cleanse when he has lost all protection, Scout trooper and many more...
I just did my daily Squad Arena battle, GL Rey against JMK+Plo DC. As per Rey's Leadership Ability, any Inspired Light Side ally dispels all debuffs on themselves when they use a Basic Ability during their turn. Rey and JKL both had Ability Block, both were Inspired, both used their Basic Ability during their turn, nothing happened, the Ability Block was still there.
