Error when sending gift

I purchased a relic data bundle for a guild mate today in the afternoon and it gave me an error. It charged me for it and later it showed up as "sent." I asked the guild mate to check and he said he could not see it in his inbox. The one he sent me, I received. I felt bad so I waited for a few mins and sent him another one. Same error, got charged again. Now for some reason I noticed my signal data increasing and I was like why is my account being credited for these purchases? I was not sure.

I took extensive screenshots and reached out to EA help through the game. I sent them all the screenshots they asked for. Now after 3 hours they keep claiming I tried to purchase it for myself. That makes zero sense. Why would I go into the gift tab, to buy something for myself? I sent them a screenshot of it. I am attaching the screenshots below as well.

If someone can please help with this because the support agents seem useless trying to fix anything.
