Hi all, and thank you for the reports.We've checked all three accounts, and there was no indicator in our records that you've joined the currently running Grand Arena Championship. That doesn't mean that you did, in fact, not join (from your point of view) but that the server never recognized the "Join" event.If you can make a screenshot with a date and time stamp on it next time, you join the GAC, that would surely help, in case the same is happening again.

I believe the same thing happened to me as well, never missed a single GA(C) matchup till now. I am not as dead sure as you are, but most certain as well.
As this is my absolute favorite part of the game I feel kind of dejected and when I read this was something happening more than usually I thought, maybe they could check logs or something...
The only downside I see is, we won't be able to "rejoin" probably and my intention here is not to gain compensation, but to play the game I really like, which seems rather unlikely as a possibly.
Maybe if we find 8 players like us, then only playing 2 rounds without rewards :D I don't know
I'm going to follow this issues as well and deeply hope for some "gameplay compensation", not necessary classic prices, even though that would probably be easier or possible at all.

Exactly. It's my favorite part too. I check multiple times a day so I can get ready to play.
What's really irritating if that I was undefeated in this current GAC and WELL on my way to Kyber. Can kiss that goodbye now..

Similar issue happened with me to, after the last GAC battle ended it just never gave the chance to lock in players again.
Bit of a bummer since it means we will fall behind. No kyber this time haha.
Had you already locked in when you dumped from this GAC?

Yes, was definitely locked in. I locked in for the new one right after it started. Checked a couple more times in the following 24 hours just to verify.

If you aren’t locked in, you aren’t signed up for the GA round. Which is exactly the point.

Reports like this crop up after almost every single round. There has not been a single case where QA support investigated, and found that someone who was signed up was “dropped” at the beginning of matchmaking. The investigation always sows that the game server never getting a “Join” request from the player.

Whether there’s an error with the server not recording an Actual click on Join, or player error because clicking into the GAC screen and looking at feats does not also Join,..it’s impossible to tell. However if you log join, back out, and click back through, the server will have to show you what it has recorded - a “join” or “enter” - which will indicate if you are actually joined or not.

Oh yes I completely understand that there is a snowball's chance in Hell that this get solved like I want it. It's always going to be easier to put the blame on the player side. I just thought I'd put in my side of the story anyway.
All I'm saying is that I've never had issues like this before when I've played GAC. I always find myself joined with no problem. I'm not a new player so I understand how the process works.
It's a little disconcerting to hear that, "Reports like this crop up after almost every single round." Now I'm not going to speak for everyone so I can't say whether or not they're clicking the join button. You'd just start to think after some point that there is an issue with the process if that many people are "not clicking join".

@Jansizaropy Let’s say there are 1 million players who play. A new GA round launches.

The vast majority of players sign up. A small number of players don’t - and there could be many viable explanations why:
1. They forgot
2. They opened up the GAC menu, clicked the green button to enter, but didn’t click the 2nd green button to join the round.
3. They play multiple accounts and signed up on one but forgot the extras. (This has happened to me)

#2 seems like the most likely scenario for people forgetting to sign up, but honestly believing they did. Before GAC, there was only one button to click. Now there are two buttons, but a distracted or hurried player might neglect to push the Join button, but they remember going to join because that was why they entered the GAC.

If 100 people out of the 1M do that, it would represent 0.01% of players making this mistake. Then if 2-3 of those players take the time to report it here, that would generate approximately the same number of reports we see here. (2% of 0.01% = 0.0002% of players).

So....it seems entirely plausible to me that this small number of players could make this entirely understandable mistake, yet be convinced that they signed up.

Thank you very much for the official reply, I appreciate that a lot!
As I said in my initial answer to his more certain report, I wasn't even a 100 % sure myself, even though this was the first time and I was "sure enough" to have it checked.
One thing I am sure about after this is, that I won't actively miss it ever again and with your advice, will start collecting screenshots :D

I had the same issue, I have never missed a GAC....
Most likely this will fall under deaf ears but any ways, it’s worth the try...
