Can confirm that this problem returns about once or twice a week. Today just as I was battling DR for 2nd in the arena while the opposing Traya did her saber storm (as shown on the picture)
I've reinstalled the game at least 3 times and followed the guidance above without noticing any improvements
New day, new freeze up. This time in the ships arena, which is a new experience for me... 😞
This happen right after I choosed to use Endurance Fortune Favors the Bold... After a restart of the game, it worked as intended in the next match, but I have no doubts that this will happen again here or in other battles later.Ok, another one. This time P2 heroic Sith raid. I also deal with this problem multiple times per week on my OnePlus 6t. Game freezes in the first minute, usually in the first 20 seconds. Usually it is mid animation and no reasonable amount of screen tapping restores responsiveness.
I am still able to screenshot and can tab out of the game. Attempting to return to game results in black window that I have to force close to restart. This has impacted arena, territory wars, and grand arena, all modes where attempts are limited and the use of the team/attempt is forfeit due to this freezing.

I've gathered some similar reports that shows that my case isn't unique. I'm still battling it, and as mentioned above had a new high of 2 freeze-ups as late as yesterday. One similarity between all my freeze-ups have been that they occur 20-30 seconds into the battles (arena, GA, Hstr raids and even in fleet battles like yesterdays post). They still occur random, and it can go days before the error returns, so I know these errors probably are difficult to reproduce. Nevertheless... they're real and I believe there are many more that's experiencing them, but don't post reports about it in here.

In addition to that I've checked your account to see if I can find any errors relating to this and didn't find anything.
Do you have any other apps open when you play SWGoH? I'm thinking that maybe there is another app installed on your device which might be interfering with the game. Do you have any VPN or antivirus apps installed?No antivirus, but often have apps like Gmail, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook etc running in the background. It shouldn't really matter though, since they're usually running as background tasks in Android anyway doing synchronizing etc as usual.
Given the randomness these freeze-ups happens, there's really not more info I can provide, besides that they usually happens between 20-30 seconds into battle, and often during/after the more graphic "intensive" animations (AoE attacks, multiple GUI/status updates and so on like Trayas saber storm, etc).
@CG_MindTricksAny updates to this? I'm curious if you have any in-house players who use OnePlus devices as their main device (as opposed to just spot-testing), as this has been happening over a year now.Thoroughly chronicled by @FingolfinTEK on his OP3, others like me with OP5, users like Chack here with OP6, and even some OP7 users.
Bit more info:
After playing the game for a year with zero problems at all, some game update around the summer of 2018 changed everything. While all other apps and games were fine, GoH started to be really unstable -roughly 5 freeze/crashes per average week. That continued for a year or so, until several weeks ago when it got more stable.
Recently though, an update brought back the issues with a vengeance. In P1 of this week's TB, 3 of 3 of my nodes froze up before the first wave was complete.
Freeze details:
The Nute SM node (for which I asked for a refund on Magna's zeta and two Gear Levels I spend to reach the GP requirements, with this ticket: 51628107) froze about half-way through the first wave, all allies were alive, nothing of note happened before the freeze. No GUI issues, it just froze. Waiting did nothing, swapping tasks back and forth came back to the game hanging on a black screen, waiting longer it would time out after several minutes at some point after my phone's screen turned off after 2 mins of inactivity.
2nd freeze (after restarting game): The Geo node froze on load. I got a Screenshot of it, with the 'holotable scanlines effect', where the environment has loaded but the characters aren't in yet. See SShot.
3rd freeze (after restarting phone): A CM node froze as I threw HK's grenade on his first turn. See SShot.
The entire day in the game had no other issues previous to this, in Arena and Fleet.Just a couple of extra screenshots from my two last freezes during GA last week. Probably just a coincidence that both show me using furballs against FO. One similar to many others I've posted here (freeze during the first 30 seconds), and one almost 2 minutes into the battle. It's happened other times too, but didn't screenshot them. Have started to restart the game before going into important battles during GA, arena, TB and TW, and that usually helps, but not exactly user friendly would I say...
What is it with Ewoks vs FO???
Third time this happens. Mass assist from Chirpa and then the dreadful freeze. Enough said. I'm quitting!
