Grand Arena Eternal Sith Emperor disappeared

I was playing my Grand Arena battle, when I used the ESE ultimate ability, it just vanished and I was stucked with the basics ability... Any help appriciated, as it stole any chance of victory or at least making minimum damage to the opposing team for a rematch.
