Jedi Temple Loot crate (Customer service unable to verify Promocode: JEDITEMPLE)

EDIT: EA refunded the money for the pack, I appreciate the help MeatHead 👍

've personally had a horrible experience today.
I had filled in the promo JEDITEMPLE and at checkout it said 0 euro.
After completing the purchase I was still charged the full amount.

I've already had a full discussion with the EA customer service, I was first connected to 1 person (live chat) and transfered to another who apperently specialzes in it.

This is what Customer service said:

"We are sorry but the team can not validate the promocode, we can not help you further."

I've had a conversation for over an hour, had to explain multiple times that the promo code was lituarlly on the offer itself "jedi temple guard loot crate" inside the official Swgoh webstore and yet they werent able to validate it???

This is extremely scammy and I would like to request a refund. As a student I don't have the money to spend on these kind of bundles and thus only purchased it because the promo code claimed the product would be free.
This im pretty sure goes against the European Laws.

Below you can see an image taken directly from the store and the offer.
During the customer serice I wasn't even allowed to share the attachment.
Overal this is just once again a very scammy move from capital games, should have just made the product free to avoid these kind of problems.
And this was not even me forgetting to add the promo code, I ADDED IT and was still charged the full amount....

I paid with PayPal and I opened a case with them and following their claim process. The EA team told me to wait. They didn’t say anything about posting to the forums.

Just checking back... Did anyone get refunded or compensated for this issue? I got complete radio silence and no action was ever taken. This is a super unusual format for getting a refund or compensation compared to similar games and developers. It feels very sketchy and sort of predatory. It shouldn't be a complicated process. Complainant puts in support ticket, issue is described, admin checks users account and purchase history to very report, admin adjusts resources or issues refund addordingly. That would be the typical and most logical process. Anything more than that feels like an attempt to force victims/users to give up because of all the hoops that they;re told they need to jump through. I'd wager many people harmed by these instances have spent their fair share of money on the game. Now why would one of those lcustomers lie about getting cheated over $10 rather than try to lie and swindle  for something more substantial? They wouldn't. They want to tire us out requiring us to jump through hoops so we end up giving up and they get to keep the money for nothing in return.iD

I would love to hear of any positive interactions that folks have had dealing with the refund department and how that was able to be facilitated

In my case I haven't got a refund from this pack and also I don't have longer available the bottom on the screen when I try to contact again with support team to open a new ticket and try to explain this problem to other member of the support team. I'm not sure if I'm following the right process to claim this money, no matter how little it was... If anyone have any tip, I'll be glad to follow them. Thanks.
