SWGoH account connection to EA

Hi all, first time poster on this forum. Having an issue with account connections. In short, when I got my new device and downloaded SWGoH for the first time, the game gave me a brand new account and I thought my old one was lost. Fast forward a few days and after linking to Google Play, my original account was back. 

However, due to this I had linked the new account to EA. That said, I am now unable to connect my desired account to my EA account as it is already linked to a SWGoH profile (new, unused account).

So I am left with this: 
Original SWGoH profile linked to Google Play -> unable to connect to EA account due to EA Account already having a linked SWGoH account. 

What are the resolution steps for this? I was unable to find a method to unlink my EA Account from the undesired SWGoH account. MY desired resolution is to link my old, active account to EA and unlink the new, inactive account that I do not use.
