Then why did some people have an easy first try and get through it when it first released but people nowadays are having to bring hondo to relic 8? I would pay any of you a hundred bucks just to see how difficult it is to get past. It's impossible with relic 5 and I think after 80 well executed attempts I can say that.

You have been misled. As someone who did it a long time ago, I will tell you for a fact that this tier of this event was NEVER this easy. Anybody who got it on the first attempt had the luck of a lottery winner. It's a very hard battle and there's a lot of RNG, besides requiring your absolute fastest possible mods. You can see Youtubers' guides to the event if you don't believe; Xaereth, for one I can remember off the top  of my head, struggled with this tier as well. It didn't suddenly become a brutally hard RNG-fest; it's always been one.

Thank you. Do you have any other tips on the event? Right now I have the best health set with the most speed that I own and at relic 5 I'm still getting one shotted by mob enforcer. I'll take hondo to relic 6 tonight or tommorow. After over a hundred attempts I still haven't got further than 21 ransom.

If you are here, looking at this post then you are likely having the same problem I did. In which case I regretfully inform you that no one will ever fix it. My hondo is now at relic 7 and perfect stats...but the event is so rigged that even with full health and immaculate rng you will forever lose. I am sorry.

I knew I wasn't the only one. My hondo is now 32,400 something power and I'm about to give him relic 8 and he still isn't beating it. He has some of my best mods and excellent speed and health. There is no reason he should be getting taken out in one hit.
