They are investigating. .... but if the Devs go mucking around with code to fix something that isn't broken, we might end up with much bigger problems....If you want to help, take screenshotsDude, again, you're not helping with the fanboy peptalk.
If they were actually investigating, they would start from the position of believing there is a problem, and their actions further downstream would reflect that.
The first occurence I was brow-beaten into believing it was somehow my fault. I've been playing the game for almost 3 years now, and "support" convinced me that it was my fault....the first time it happened.
They don't need to change any code to determine the cause, they just need to look. They won't cause any other issues by investigating. Period. They didn't look into it, and it hit me for a second time. They still don't believe me, which is an indicator of their preferred method of treating their customers, and I don't like it.
You better believe that I will be "helping" them believe me for the third occurrence, just like you better hope that the same issue doesn't start affecting your guild.
The Devs here have said they're investigating, and that they're checking server logs, etc. You ask for belief that you have a problem, but then you don't believe they are investigating when they are directly telling you that they are.
I am glad you'll be helping! The more people that help, the sooner the issue can be identified and resolved, and the fewer people who will be negatively impacted.
If the issue does impact my guild, I'll provide the data. I took a screenshot of my guild's TW registration before the setup phase started, and at phase change we were still 50/50. Nothing to see, but I'm ready to provide the data if it starts impacting my guild. If that happens, I'll have a data point that is opposite my current hypothesis, and I'll have images to provide to the Devs to assist their (already ongoing) investigation.
I have also suffered from this problem. This is the second time, but the first I thought I may have made a mistake. As such I have been diligent since then but now find I am once again missing out on the TW. I understand EA’s scepticism if they are unable to duplicate he issue, but that does not really help those of us who have and will possibly continue to miss out. I can appreciate that there is an obvious cost element in both finding and subsequently repairing any problem. So the dilemma is how frequently will this occur, as it is frustrating as well as affecting our progress...I have never posted before despite playing for years so please forgive my ignorance, but could not EA contact a few of us and arrange to log into our account just before a TW started, then I think there would be a good chance that at least one of our accounts would repeat this issue and EA could at least be assured that the issue is real. I’m not looking for compensation, as I understand that at this stage everyone could cry wolf but I really do not like the idea of this issue become any more prolonged. I would just like a more detailed explanation of EA’s strategy and timeframe. If the EA strategy is “we ignore issues until it affects over x% of gamers or can be duplicated” I would rather here that, or ideally a more reassuring reply. Also, I would be happy to capture photo images for each attempted TW entry if that was deemed to be useful. Could we just have a little explanation team EA? Thanks.
