"Your device isn't compatible with this version" + Extras

So, last update didn't install correctly, 2 days ago.  I do all the regular things, checked that my phone was up to date on updates, try to force another update through the Play Store, rebooting phone, clearing memory cache. Eventually get to uninstall/reinstall, so I uninstall and now the game won't show in the app store.  I have to go through my library just to find a record of it, and get to the Play Store page for Galaxy of Heroes.  On that page, the Install button is disabled and says that my device, a Samsung Galaxy S7, is not compatible with the current update.

So, I submit a query to [edit: email address removed], no response.  I eventually start trolling the help.ea.com/en/, and stumble into a live chat with an assistant.  I explain the problem thoroughly, and wait.  They have trouble communicating, only in broken English. They don't come up with any answers to try right there, but they do 'want to send me an email' which will help me, but they explicitly said that they had to close the chat to send it.  So, I get an email with half of the instructions being useless because the app is no longer installed, and the other half was everything I already did.  So, I played devil's advocate, and tried it agian, at least the parts that I could, to no success.  And to boost this to infuriating levels, they have a button to email the conversation to you, that conveniently doesn't work.

So, I have an email with useless information, and no solutions.  By the nature of the conversation, It felt like I was being "hot potato'd", to avoid actually having to listen and work with me.  There

Anyone have a list of REAL solutions to this kind of 'Compatible' issue????

     Hello
This is a follow up response to our conversation that we had regarding . Based on our conversation these are the Troubleshooting steps that I was referring to :

FOUR QUICK TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS FOR ANDROID
Is your interface frozen? Delete unused apps or move them to the cloud or a microSD card. Then clear your cache by going to Settings > Apps > Clear Cache.

If your app crashes, check that your phone and app have the latest updates.

Screen not responding? Restart your phone.

If your app won’t download, clear the cache and wipe the history of the Google Play store. Do this by heading to Settings > Clear Local Search History.

MAKE SURE YOU’RE RUNNING THE LATEST ANDROID VERSION
Usually you’ll find the option somewhere in your device’s Settings menu:

     Settings > System updates
Settings > About phone > System updates
You might see other options, such as “About device,” “Software updates,” or “Download updates.”

If you’re not sure how to check your device for updates, check out the Android Help Center.

     Are your game apps updated?
Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap the menu icon in the upper-left.
     Tap My apps & games.
Tap any app that says UPDATE.
     Tap the UPDATE button.
Some apps require a Wi-Fi connection to update.

     CLOSE YOUR BACKGROUND APPS
Apps use memory. If you can’t launch or play an app, close all other apps and try again.

     Tap the Recent Apps button.
Tap the X or swipe right on an app’s preview to close the app.
     RESTART YOUR APP
     Restart the app
     Tap the Recent Apps button.
Tap the X or swipe right on an app’s preview to close the app.
Press the Home button and restart the app.
     Force restart your device
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until you see the reboot animation.

CLEAR YOUR APP CACHE AND DATA
Clearing your app’s cache and data can help fix some issues. Find the steps to clear the cache and data on Google Play Help’s help article — look under Step 2.

     INSTALL/REINSTALL
Install another app from the App Store
If you can’t launch any of your apps, there could be a problem with your Google authorization. Reauthorize your Google Account by downloading a new app from the                   Google Play Store.

If you installed apps using multiple Google Accounts, do this for each account.

    Reinstall the app
If the app still isn’t working, try uninstalling it from your device and installing it again.

Touch and hold the app you want to remove.
Drag the app to the Remove or Uninstall option at the top of the screen.
     Open the Google Play Store.
Search for the app and reinstall it.

@Elysian24 Have you ensured that your device is fully up to date and you have the correct locale set in settings?

So, got no response here. But I did find a solution. I did a factory reset of the phone after backing up data.  So, it worked, I could now download the new update, but I lost a lot of personal stuff that the backup missed. Oh well, thanks for the help.
