CD Key

I have a CD Key for the complete collection, but EA App doesn't recognize it. My PC does not have a CD/DVD drive. Any way to reach out to a human being about this?

The original CD-Keys of Sims 1 and 2 are unsupported on the EA App and sadly can be only played via their original discs:

If you still want to chat with a supervisor to explore options to get The Sims running in your PC, there should be a "Chat with us" option at the bottom of this page that covers installation issues:

  • TY for responding. Tried "Chat with us" and basically got the finger. They can't or won't help me as it is a retired piece - the rep said it was a different game. I pointed out it is in actuality the same game, but modified to run on modern hardware, and (to paraphrase) I have modern hardware with no optical drive and I would like to use the software sold to me.

The ticket has been closed by (I assume) the rep.

The Sims Complete Collection and Legacy Edition are treated as two different pieces of software since the latter was recompiled from a partially rewritten source code that uses modern technology (Vulkan).

If you want to use The Sims Complete Collection you can still buy an USB CD drive, or making an image of your CD on a different computer and then using that ISO on the disc-less PC, but I guess that's beyond the scope of this forum since it's all unsupported software anyway.
