I've started having a similar issue only since the last update. Everything was working fine and I was even playing it all night last night and now today, I can't play certain lots in Old Town. Everytime I click on those houses, the game crashes. Other lots are fine but then others are not. I even tried bulldozing one and it still crashed. Can't click on those lots at all without it crashing!
AwesomejoeGO Please try refreshing your user data. Go here:
C:\Users\your username\Saved Games\Electronic Arts
and move or rename the Sims 25 folder. Doing so will remove your save and related data, and the game will create a new folder when you open it again. Don't add anything to this folder; just start a new save and see how it runs. You can always restore the original folder when you're done testing.

Update: I've verified the files on steam and now it works and I also deleted the userdata folders
Update 2: its happening again. so I think its a bug
AwesomejoeGO If you delete the folder AND verify the game files again, does it temporarily help again? The question is then whether something is corrupting your install or user data. The next question would be what antivirus you use.
