Sims 1 Legacy too zoomed in and blurry

I've been playing since the Legacy version was released. I had relatively few problems and the scaling was fine, everything looked really nice still and was clear and readable.

I just launched it for the first time in about a month, and suddenly it's all blurred and in terrible resolution. I've changed nothing on my computer, everything is the same as it was when I first played. Did an update mess something up, or did something else happen? I'm running Windows 11, 1920x1080p, new-ish graphics card (Nvidia model within the last few years). Basically nothing has changed, I haven't even changed any system settings.

Oh, god, I had no idea they added new resolutions! There was no notice. Thank you, that was the issue, I just didn't know about the new feature.

Have you experienced any lagging and shuddering in your game also?? Apparently since the last update its caused people with the 1920x1080p to have issues and a lot of them are unable to play. This happened to me. Everything was working great until that update and now I haven't played in about 2 months because of it. It's too laggy. I haven't seen EA post a solution or anything for this yet so im hoping someone else may have heard of a solution.

  • Go to setting in a lot, click the monitor icon and to the far right you’ll see resolution options and aspect ratio next to it. Make sure it says 16:9 and chose a resolution you think looks the best. You’ll be on a resolution that’s 4:3 at the moment. Due to the black borders on both sides. Hope this helps
