Sims legacy load is just a black screen

hi guys, I've installed the sims legacy from steam and its been working fine! I go to load it today and its just a black screen! I've installed it all and the only thing left to do is uninstall steam! any suggestions before i have a sims meltdown......

    What system do you use? As in what specifications does your system have? You need a graphics card that supports Vulkan.
