Comunity Lots Not Loading

Hello Everyone !

So today i decided to renovate a community lot in strangetown to add a few things but the moment i try to load in the lot  it gets stuck on loop and never loads in it gets stuck at the loading screen but the game is not crashing its just stuck there ! so i was wondering if there was a way to fix it cause honestly its very annoying .

I noticed the past few months the Sims 2 is filled with bugs to the point its almost unplayable and i personally think ea should start fixing them cause the updates are practically doing nothing to fix the bugs so far ! For me the bugs consist of the autonomy not working properly and my sims doing the same things over and over again and the autonomy bar getting bagged with my sims always turning on and off the tv or writing in a diary and things like that also the lot bug where lots dont load in and objects dessapearing when i load in the game !

So i want to hear your opinion about it and if you have any fixes to this kinds of problems !

I occasionally get that infinite loading screen, and the only thing to do about it is just restarting your game. I know annoying, but at the moment that's my only solution. So everytime you get the infinite loading screen you just restart your game and then it will load into your lot without a problem. I have been asking for a patch 9 for days now and I hope they're making one, and making patch 9 the biggest patch ever since it has been a month since the last patch

Have you tried deleting the lot and placing it again? Is it a maxis lot or a cc lot?

  • Sims have always become obsessed with things- bubble baths, getting water, writing in their diary, turning on radios and tvs. I have a Sim right now who is obsessed with his pool table.  Left to themselves, they are likely to starve to death while they play computer games or pass out in their dinner because they couldn't be bothered to go to bed. They frequently try to write in their diary when other Sims are around and just spend hours sitting there trying to hide it from the other Sims instead of writing. When my Sims become obsessive about a particular object, sometimes I remove it for awhile or I place new objects they can obsess over for a change. You can turn autonomy off if it is just irritating you too much. There are also some mods out there that help, aimed at stopping them from doing certain things at all or as much without you directing them to. I have a few myself. With Sims 2 you have to do a lot of managing. They are better at handling themselves in 2 than they were in 1, but not as well as in 3 or 4 by a long shot.

The infinite loading lot issue is usually caused by something being stuck on the lot that is corrupting it. Personally, here's what I would do (assuming this is a Maxis lot). I'd package the lot, then delete it from the world. Then I would use Sims 2 Clean Installer to install the lot again. The program shows you what is included with the lot. I would uncheck any Sims, objects, or CC that became attached to the lot that are not original to it, then install it clean. If any of the objects that were attached to the lot were CC, I would remove the CC from my computer.

I wonder if it also applies to lots that at first loads infinitely but loads in fine the next time you restart the game. Because I only have the infinite loading issue sometime and it fixes itself whenever I restart the game.

I deleted the lot and placed it again still didnt fix the problem for me so i just deleted the whole neighbourhood and i havent touched the game since because of the bugs and because i dont want any of my neighbourhoods currupted or broken or anything like that ! the lot was a maxis lot the 88 road to nowhere lot i think the one with all the stores in strangetown !

but for me right now the bugs are too much and about the autonomy bug or whatever it is  i tried mods to fix it i tried removing the objects and adding them within a few sim days but nothing the sims autonomy is still the same obsessing too much with objects to the point when i try to control them they wont do what i  control them to do and all they do is obsess over a specific thing to the point one of my sims wasnt obeying when i instructed them to go eat and they were obsessing over turning on and off the tv all the time to the point they died of starvation !

So yeah that happened so i think i will stay away from the sims 2 for a while and play the sims 3 or the sims 4 ! Sims 2 is still my favorite but the bugs and the problems are too much for me right now !
